Richard Chuang, , Chief Executive Officer, Cloudpic Global, Inc., Co-founder, PDI/DreamWorks

Co-founder of PDI over 30 years ago, Richard pioneered the studio’s proprietary animation system, which received an Academy Technical Achievement Award in 1998. Chuang’s expertise is in computer animation and visual effects for both animated and live action films. His credits range from directing commercials to winning an Emmy Award for graphics design. He has 16 live action film credits as visual effects supervisor. Besides all the feature length animated film at PDI/DW, Richard also planned and guided the CG production for DreamWorks first all computer animated primetime TV show. He was the executive responsible for developing production capacity worldwide for DreamWorks Animation including multi-national productions in Hong Kong, India and Europe. Before leaving PDI, Richard serving as an executive at DWA developed a new process for scheduling and managing resources for all of production at DWA. Chen Zhang, , Corporate Vice President, Yahoo!, Managing Director, Yahoo! Beijing Global Research and Development Center

 Chen Zhang is the founder and managing director of Yahoo! Beijing Global R&D Center. Founded in Nov. 2008, the center has become a key to the company’s product strategy as well as a premier R&D base in China.  Focusing on Yahoo’s core products and technology platforms, Mr. Zhang oversees the center’s R&D activities in communications, advertising, search, and cloud platforms.  He has built a team of 350+ high-caliber talents in Beijing. Mr. Zhang joined Yahoo! in 1997.  Prior to Yahoo!, he worked at Oracle and DEC. He holds a M.S. degree in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington.

Jack Xu, , Corporate Vice President, Collaboration Software Group (CSG), Cisco Systems, Inc.,

 Jack Xu is the Corporate Vice President at Cisco's Collaboration Software Group (CSG), responsible for its overall product development direction. Jack's group comprises more than 1,200 employees.  He is also a member of Cisco China Strategy Board, a directing body of Cisco¹s 16-billion dollar investment in the China market.  Prior to joining Cisco, Jack served as eBay's vice president of engineering & research, and was named as a Fellow by the company's board of directors in 2006.  Prior to that, Jack was the Chief Technology Officer at Netease, where he was responsible for all aspects of technology, operations, marketing, and product development.  From 1996 to 2000, he held senior positions at Excite Inc.

Ben Yu joined Sierra Ventures in 2000 from 3Com where he served as a Senior Systems Architect and Project Manager. Ben leads Sierra Ventures’ hardware practice and China strategies. Ben holds a Ph.D. and Masters in Electrical Engineering from Princeton and a Bachelor of Engineering with 1st class honors from the University of Western Australia. Before his studies at Princeton, Ben held a variety of engineering consulting roles at Mertz in Australia. Jian Lu, Ph.D., , President , Shanda Multimedia Innovations,

Dr. Lu is a world-renowned expert in digital image and video coding, and multimedia content fingerprinting and identification. He received his PhD in electrical engineering from Dartmouth College, and did research at University of California, Davis, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He worked at Apple for over 8 years, first as a Senior Scientist in the Interactive Media Group and then a Principal Engineer in the Pro Video Engineering. He led technical development in QuickTime compression, streaming, and interactivity, and he also represented Apple in JPEG and MPEG international standards groups. He is co-founder of Vobile, Inc, and served as its Chief Technology Officer from 2005 to 2010. He is the inventor and architect of Vobile VideoDNA (TM) content identification and management technology that has been adopted by all major Hollywood movie studios and TV networks.    

Michael Deng, , Founder and Chief Executive Officer, ArcSoft, Inc. ,

 Michael Deng, is the CEO and founder of ArcSoft, Inc, headquartered in Fremont of California, USA.  ArcSoft is an industry leading software developer of multimedia technologies and applications. Working closely with major OEM manufacturers, ArcSoft offers a full line of imaging and video solutions that enhance the features, performance, and user experience of mobile phones, digital cameras, personal computers, and consumer electronics devices. As of today, ArcSoft has over 800 employees working in US, Japan, Taiwan, Mainland China, Korea, and Europe.  Michael were born in mainland China. He holds both a B.S. and a master’s degree in physics from Peking University, and a Ph.D. in physics from Washington University in St. Louis.

 Since 2008, Dr. Alan Chen has been the CEO of Perfect World Entertainment Inc., the American and European subsidiary of Perfect World Co. Ltd. Prior to that, Dr. Chen had held a number of executive positions in the industries of computer gaming and IT, and accumulated experience in marketing, operations, and professional services. Prior to the current role, Dr. Chen had assumed CTO of The9 Ltd., VP of HP China, VP of Lucent China; and VP of Nortel China. Mr. Chen received both his B.Eng and M.Eng. degrees from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Ph.D. degree from University of Ottawa.

Cheng-Yaw Sun, , Executive Chairman, hiSoft Technology International Ltd.,

Mr. Cheng-Yaw Sun was appointed as the Board Chairman effective in March 2008 and assumed the Executive Chairman position in August 2009. He brings with him over 25 years of global market experience in industry-leading IT companies and has also served as an advisor to numerous technology companies.  Prior to joining hiSoft, Mr. Sun was the CEO of Hewlett-Packard in Greater China, having also served as Managing Director and Corporate Vice President of HP from 2002 to 2007. Mr. Sun joined Hewlett-Packard Taiwan in 1982 and has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Chung Yuan Christian University of Taiwan.

At FutureWei Technologies, Inc., the US-based subsidiary of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. of China, Dr. Wang directs, leads and overseas management and activities to support Huawei’s continued business expansion in North America. Dr. Wang joined Huawei in 1998, and has over ten years of professional experience in top-level executive and managerial positions with the company. Prior to his FutureWei role, Dr. Wang was the President of Huawei Sweden Research Center. Before that, he served as the General Manager of UMTS Radio Network Planning. Bobby Chao, , Founding Managing Partner, DFJ DragonFund China ,

 K. Bobby Chao is a founding managing director of DFJ DragonFund China. He began his career as one of the original founders of Cadence Design Systems and was Cadence’s Vice President and GM of Asia. After Cadence, he founded and served as chairman and CEO of OCRON until its acquisition by Umax Group. He later incubated and served as Chairman and CEO of VA Linux (LNUX). Subsequently, he was an early investor in and board member of AboveNet (ABVT), Oplink (OPLK), Omnivision (OVTI) and NetScreen (JNPR). Mr. Chao co-founded DragonVenture as Chairman in 1999 and since then he has been a dedicated venture capital investor in Greater China. Mr. Chao holds an MS in Physics and in Aeronautical Engineering from Georgia State University and Stanford University, respectively.

Jack Jia, , Partner, GSR Ventures Founder, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Baynote Inc.

 Mr. Jia is a founder, Chairman and founding CEO of Baynote, Inc., a leading recommendation software company since 2004. He is also a partner of GSR Ventures and an angel investor. Jack was the founding CTO at Interwoven Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV, now Autonomy), a leading software company that pioneered CMS category, with a market capitalization of US$7 billion. Prior to Interwoven, he was a founder and CEO of V-max America. Jack also led engineering and development at NASA, SGI, Stratus, and Sun Microsystems.  Jack received an MBA from Santa Clara University, an MSEE from NYU-Poly, and a BSEE/MSCE from Beijing Jiaotong University. He was recognized as one of the 40 most accomplished oversea Chinese entrepreneurs and scholars by the Chinese central government as PRC celebrating its 60 founding anniversary in 2009.  Chris Cooper is the National Leader of the U.S. Chinese Services Group (CSG). Kenneth Chiu, , Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, Funzio, Inc.,

Ken is the product visionary behind Funzio. He co-founded the company in late 2009/early 2010 to build next generation, cross-platform social games. On his way to Funzio, Ken started two companies. In early 2009, he co-founded Storm8, which is currently one of the top mobile social gaming companies. Before that, in 2008, he created a game called My Heroes Ability which he sold to Zynga. He became General Manager of a studio called "XWars" at Zynga. In 2003, he graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Computer Science.

Eric S. Yuan is founder and CEO of SaaSbee, Inc. Prior to that, he was corporate vice president of engineering at Cisco Systems responsible for collaboration software development where Eric proudly grew the team from ten engineers to more than 800 worldwide and contributed to revenue growth from $0 to close to $800M.  Eric was VP of Engineering of WebEx and also was one of the founding engineers of WebEx that was acquired by Cisco in 2007 for US $3.2 billion.
