Bud Mathaisel is CIO and Chief Operating Officer - North America and Europe of Achievo Corporation, a Global leader in Software and Outsourcing. He is responsible for the vision, strategy and implementation of the company's operations, policies and programs in North America. Bud will be speaking about Cloud Computing - Highlights of Opportunities and Issues.
Speaker Biography
Bud Mathaisel is CIO and Chief Operating Officer - North America and Europe for Achievo Corporation, a Global leader in Software and Outsourcing. In 2007, Bud joined Achievo as Senior Vice President and CIO, and was assigned in 2008 to his current position. His responsibilities include North America and Europe Operations, IT (as CIO), Business Development, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Public Relations.
Bud is a Director on the Board and member of the Audit Committee of e2open, an LLC which provides collaboration and supply chain software and services for the electronics and aerospace industries. He is an adviser to Price Waterhouse Coopers on technology strategy, and a technology consultant/adviser as part of GLG Group. He served for years on the Editorial Advisory Board of CIO Magazine. He has been a McKinsey reviewer for the Harvard Business Review.
Bud also provided executive consulting on information technologies and IT, both for large companies and for start ups. Bud also has served on the boards and audit committees of Packeteer, QD Technologies and AcXess. Previously, for seven years, Bud was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Solectron, with global responsibility for information technology and business process re-engineering worldwide.
Before Solectron, Bud was the global CIO for the Ford Motor Company, and global CIO of the Walt Disney Company. Earlier, Bud was a Partner and the founding Director of Ernst & Young's Center for Business Innovation (CBI) in Boston, a group dedicated to the conception and development of leading-edge ideas and management approaches for business innovation.
He received both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the Engineering School at MIT, Cambridge Massachusetts, with high honors. He is a native of Boston, Massachusetts, currently living in California.
