Speaker Biography

Mr. Cheng-Yaw Sun was appointed as Board Chairman of hiSoft Technology International effective March 2008 and assumed the Executive Chairman position in August 2009. hiSoft is an information technology outsourcing company. Cheng-Yaw brings with him over 25 years of global market experience in industry leading IT companies.

Prior to joining hiSoft, Cheng-Yaw was CEO of HP Greater China, and has also served as an Advisor to numerous technology companies. Before that, he was Managing Director of China Hewlett-Packard and Corporate Vice President of Hewlett-Packard from 2002 to 2007. Prior to the merger of Hewlett-Packard and Compaq, Mr. Sun served as Managing Director of Hewlett-Packard China from 2000 to 2001. From 1991 to 1999, he worked as a general manager of the Computer Systems Group in Hewlett-Packard China. Mr. Sun joined Hewlett-Packard Taiwan in 1982 as a system engineer where he held various sales management positions from 1983 to 1990.

Mr. Sun has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Chung Yuan Christian University of Taiwan.
