Speaker Biography
 
Walter Fang, President, Neusoft America
Walter Fang, President of Neusoft America, is responsible for Neusoft’s international outsourcing business development and marketing, strategic alliance and partnership management.

Mr. Fang has over 32 years of IT experiences working for large multinational IT companies in Asia and North America, including 27 years with IBM Canada, IBM U.S., and IBM Asia Pacific. He has helped many North America large organizations in government sector, financial, and telecommunication industries, developing IT architectures and network computing solutions.

Prior to joining Neusoft, Mr. Fang was CEO of Computer And Technologies Software Ltd. (C&T Software) from 2000 to 2002. He has managed this start-up company in China and grew its software business substantially during his tenure.

Mr. Fang is also Chairman of International Association of Outsourcing Professional (IAOP) Beijing Chapter. He is the author and creator of the Visual Modeling Technique (VMT) development methodology. He graduated from Cheng Kung University in Taiwan with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He received a Master of Science degree in computer science from National Taiwan University.

Randy Lee, Senior VP of Strategy and Business Development, The Symbio Group
Randy Lee is the Senior VP of Strategy and Business Development of The Symbio Group (www.symbio-group.com), an outsourced product development leader for a converged world, delivering innovation and value across technologies and geographies with headquarters in USA, Finland, and Greater China.

Mr. Lee joined Symbio in May of 2009 and has been focused on growing the business and leading United States sales activity. Previously, Randy worked at Sparktech Corporation, a leading consumer electronics and mobile video sideloading and streaming company, serving as the General Manager where he led all aspects of the business.  Prior to that, Randy was with Silicon Valley Bank where he assisted in the bank’s strategic planning efforts and underwrote some of SVB’s largest transactions in communication/electronics and life sciences.  He was also the Director of Strategic Alliances at iAsiaWorks, a publicly traded web hosting company that built large scale, next generation data centers throughout Asia, and ChinaVest, a Greater China focused venture capital firm where he focused on the telecommunications and information technology sectors.  Randy received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University and his MBA from the University of California, Davis, Graduate School of Management.

Terry Snider, VP of Business Development, VanceInfo
Terry Shidner is the North American Vice President of Business Development for VanceInfo Technologies, Inc. based in Santa Clara, CA. His role with VanceInfo is to help global companies access and benefit from the high-quality, low-cost services that China has to offer. Mr. Shidner is a frequent contributor and speaker to many global based organizations and
publications.

Mr. Shidner possesses degrees in both Computer Science and Asian Business Studies from Michigan State University and has been working in and out of China since the early 1990’s. Having both lived and worked in mainland China and Hong Kong, he has witnesses the Chinese software industry rise from infancy into the modern service sector of today. He has worked for some of the most prominent Chinese software and service vendors and has been involved with the many trends that have faced this emerging vertical.

Joseph Wei, Founder of SJW Consulting
Joseph Wei is a 28-year technology industry executive with hands-on experience managing businesses with over $500 million in revenue for some of the largest U.S., Japan and Taiwan-based computer companies. Mr. Wei started SJW Consulting, Inc., in January 2009 to provide consulting services to clients in the areas of strategy, business development and manufacturing outsourcing to accelerate faster time to market, sales execution and cost efficient supply chain with a focus in Asia Pacific and the United States.

Prior to founding SJW Consulting, Mr. Wei was the VP of Business Development for Inventec, a $13B leading ODM for consumer electronics, notebook and server products. Previous roles held by Mr. Wei included VP of Marketing and Business Development for Amphus, a blade server startup, Director & General Manager for SGI’s Linux Clustering Group, Sr. Marketing Director for NEC Computer Division and various Product Management positions with DEC with was later acquired by Compaq/HP.

Mr. Wei holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, and an advisor for several startups in
the Silicon Valley.
 
Jack Jia, Co-Founder and CEO of Baynote, Inc.
Mr. Jia is a founder and CEO of Baynote, Inc., a recommendation software company since 2004. From 1997 to 2004, he was a SVP & founding CTO for Interwoven Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV) with several executive responsibilities in engineering, product management, marketing, strategy, and technology vision. Prior to Interwoven, he was a founder and CEO of V-max America. Mr. Jia holds a number of technology patents. He is a director of board advisors for School of Engineering, Santa Clara University, California.

Mr. Jia holds a BSEE & MSCS from Beijing Jiao-Tong University, a MSEE from Polytechnic University of New York, and a MBA from Santa Clara University.
