Speaker Biography
Ming Yeh, Managing Director, SVB Capital
Ming Yeh is a Managing Director with SVB Capital and holds primary responsibility for managing SVB's renminbi-denominated funds.

Yeh brings to the position over 12 years of experience in venture capital. She co-founded and was director of PacRim Venture Partners, a Menlo Park, California-based venture capital firm focused on diversified IT investments.  Before PacRim Venture Partners, Yeh worked at Technology Funding, a venture fund in San Mateo, California. Prior to joining Technology Funding in 1998, she provided advisory work on M&A and public offerings for venture-stage companies at Lehman Brothers.

Yeh's background also includes substantial technology expertise. She was a design engineer for Sun Microsystems, Key Computer Labs (acquired by Amdahl) and Prime Computer. During her years at Sun, she was the principal design engineer and co-architect of the multiple instruction dispatch unit on the UltraSPARC I processor. She earned three patents for her work on the UltraSPARC processor.

Yeh holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Wellesley College, a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California and a master of business administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
