David Ku is senior vice president of the Advertising Product Group (APG), responsible for all advertising products across search and display at Yahoo!. This includes Yahoo!'s display advertising platform, search advertising platform, and audience targeting and insights. Ku reports to EVP of Products and Chief Technology Officer Ari Balogh.
Previously, Ku was senior vice president of Engineering for Search and Advertising, and before that, he was Vice President of Search Engineering. He played key roles in the development of search and display platforms at Yahoo! as well as consumer products such as Search Experience, Flickr, Yahoo! Answers and Mobile Search. Prior to Yahoo!, he worked in CAD/EDA and venture firms in various technology roles.
Ku received his Masters and Doctorate degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University, and a dual Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah.
